Jeanne Koepp

Beauty is born where craftsmanship meets aesthetics and passion.

Jeanne Koepp was born as a Black German in Dresden, in the former GDR. In 1989, she moved to East Berlin and, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, founded the JEANNE KOEPP gallery. The potter's wheel marked the beginning of her journey. Throwing on the potter's wheel was followed in 2010 by casting in plaster molds for easier and more consistent reproduction. Her love for vases remained, and so in 2017, she decided to incorporate glass into her repertoire. Since then, she has been designing vases that are handcrafted in small series in specially made wooden molds at two locations in Europe – on the island of Murano, Italy, and in the traditional town of Zwiesel in Bavaria.

Craftsmanship with History

Her glass vases are created at two tradition-rich locations: in the workshops of Murano, Italy – a place that has stood for the art of glassblowing for centuries – and in Zwiesel, Germany, known for its centuries-old glassmaking tradition in the Bavarian Forest. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, with vibrant colors and characteristic faceted edges that refract light in a unique way.

Her ceramic collection is produced in Berlin – where precise craftsmanship meets timeless design. Subtle embellishments and clear forms make each piece a subtle eye-catcher. A special feature of her jars are the knobs: they consist of a unique material mix of glass, plastic, and metal – a distinctive detail that makes each jar one-of-a-kind. It is her signature.

Three Locations, One Vision

Murano, Zwiesel, Berlin – three places, connected by a love of craftsmanship. Each of her objects bears the traces of the hands that created it and the materials that give it its unmistakable soul.

For Lovers of the Exceptional

Her collections are aimed at people who appreciate quality and recognize beauty in detail – whether as a personal statement in their own home or as an extraordinary gift.
