Jewellery Box – Three Materials, Three Stories

Three materials. Three stories. One object.

The glass lid comes from a glass factory on Murano – production remnants that have been stored for up to 25 years. Traces of time are visible and intentional: they make each piece unique.
The wooden body is created in collaboration with an Italian woodturner: cherry, olive, or walnut wood, aged, black-tinted, and waxed. Each body is individually adapted to its glass lid – no two pieces are alike.
Wormholes and knot holes are no accident – they are part of the concept. Every irregularity gives the piece its own voice and makes it clear that real, grown material has been used here.
The optional knob made of old bakelite completes the ensemble – a material with history that is rarely found today.
